I think His Lordship may have a valid point. I usually don't claim any heritage (I'm usually saying how much I dislike them) but the Welsh is a little different. Ha! The Manky Fuck is fine. And he hates motorcycles! We are now living happily and demon free on a property in the sou'west with an extended menagerie. Yeah, you could do all that. Better yet, buy a Mac. If you don't want to spend too much, the eMacs are relatively cheap and the iMac is pretty good value too. Although the rumours are that they're having some trouble with heat...just goes to show Apples aren't infallible. But at least they don't crash at the drop of a hat. And hopefully that won't change next year when they start installing Intel chips in every Mac. Damnit, I sound like a computer nerd...

Surely fdisking the mbr at a dos prompt will get rid of the boot loader menu? It will wipe the mbr completely but it will just boot into Windows98 by default, as long as the XP drive is not connected. At least that is how I remember it working.
